About Me

My name is Molly Stockmeyer and I am part of the Class of 2020 at Louise S. McGehee School. I have lived in New Orleans my whole life and I've attended McGehee since I was about three years old. Throughout my McGehee life, I have dabbled in a lot of different sports and hobbies. In Middle School, I tried just about every sport—basketball, softball, swimming, soccer, tennis, volleyball—but I've chosen to continue swimming.

I've also taken piano lessons at McGehee, with Laura Booras, since first grade and I began taking classical piano lessons with Joni Jensen my freshman year. I've also been very involved in musical theater my whole life; I've attended Tulane's Little/Junior Lyric almost every summer since I was seven, as well as doing the High School plays at McGehee since 8th grade. My most recent role was the role of Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing, Technicolor Dreamcoat in 11th grade.

I have also been an employee at the Prytania Theatre since 2018 and watching movies has become one of my hobbies. Additionally, I enjoy bike riding, crafts, Nintendo games, playing with my niece, and being with my friends. Currently, my favorite poem that has helped me through quarantine is Wild Geese by Mary Oliver.
